Covenant Fellowship Churches International (CFCI) was a vision given unto the late Bishop Dr. Dewey F. Long, who was the founder and pastor of the Covenant Fellowship Church International in Dacula, Georgia. Bishop Dr. Dewey F. Long had a heart for Outreach Ministries in the communities in Gwinnett County of Georgia. He was introduced to an Apostle by the name of Frederico "Pastor Fred" Garcia of Elsa, Texas. Pastor Fred asked Bishop Dr. Dewey F Long if he would come and help him build churches in Mexico. Bishop Dr. Dewey F Long had a heart to build churches and do missionary work around the world. Later in his ministries he met Pastor Charles L. Wright through the ministries of the United Churches of God in Christ. Pastor Wright was the Founder of the Faith Covenant, United Church of God in Christ who join fellowship with then Bishop Dewey F. Long. Later in Bishop Dr. Dewey F. Long's ministries and missionary trips Bishop Long invited Pastor Charles L. Wright to go on a missionary crusade through Mexico with Apostle and Pastor Fred. Garcia in the year 2008. After working with Bishop Dr. Dewey F. Long in fellowship and on mission trips Pastor Charles L Wright was appointed First Assistant in the Covenant Fellowship Churches International, ministries. In the year 2011 Bishop Dr. Dewey F. Long before his transition he asked then Pastor Charles L. wright if he would promise to carry on the "Work" and "Keep Walking". In the year of 2012 on the second day of month of June, the birth day of the late Bishop Dr. Dewey F. Long, Pastor Charles L. Wright was elevated to the Bishopric by the sacred laying on of Hands of the Bishopric in Atlanta, Georgia. Bishop Charles L. Wright took up the mantle and continued to walk "By Faith" with the Covenant Fellowship Churches International.
